It is so wonderful that we have small-scale beekeepers in Ontario who have dedicated their time and energy in harvesting honey for residents of Ontario. Being small-scale means they control their own production at every stage, ensuring their high standards are met at each step of the process - from start to finish.

The honey sold here has been harvested by Ontario bee farmers who farm responsibly, ensuring honey is pure, unadulterated, and has no additives while making sure the bees continue to thrive in their community.
Raw honey is honey that comes directly from the beehive and is not pasteurized. It is filtered and extracted - but that's about it! It stays in its natural state as it is not heated. It is revered for its unique flavour profile and purity. Raw honey is considered to be more nutritious than regular honey as it contains bee pollen, bee propolis and beneficial enzymes.
A 2023 review of studies have indicated that raw honey may have potential protective effects on respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and nervous system. This study also suggested that raw honey has potential in cancer treatment. More details available on PubMed: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10346535/. The title of this review: “A Comprehensive Review of the Effect of Honey on Human Health” published by Nutrients journal in July 2023.
Unpasteurized honey is mildly heated but goes through minimal processing compared to pasteurized honey. Compared to pasteurized honey, unpasteurized honey has a more pronounced flavour and aroma.
Buckwheat honey has a malty aroma with a flavour similar to molasses. With a colour that is darker than regular honey, it is considered to have greater amount of antioxidants than lighter honey. Buckwheat honey is less sweet than traditional honey. Buckwheat honey is comparable to Manuka honey.
This honey (unpasteurized) is made with real lemon and real ginger - nothing artificial to enhance the flavour at all! Ginger and lemon are excellent ingredients for making flavourful tea that is tasty and beneficial, specially during the cold season.
Blueberry honey (unpasteurized) has a subtle fruity flavour combined with fruity sweetness. This truly spectacular single nectar honey source is possible because the bees are given access to huge quantities of wild blueberry blossoms during specific season of the year. If you enjoy honey with a distinct floral note, you certainly do not want to miss out on this flavourful honey!
