My Experience
Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to learn more about me. I am Noor [Noorjahan] Begum, a registered Homeopath, based in Toronto, Ontario. I am a regulated health professional in Ontario and registered with the regulatory body, College of Homeopaths of Ontario or CHO (registration # 15704).
After graduating from York University with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in 2006, I have worked within a busy homeopathic clinic in Toronto, Ontario for many years with other homeopaths, saw patients, researched scientific literatures, and created homeopathic treatment plans. I have a Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (DHMHS) from Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine - one of the best homeopathic colleges in North America. Through this college's clinic, I have worked alongside experienced medically trained professionals, including doctors and homeopaths, to provide consultation to patients, review their lab reports, research and prescribe homeopathic remedies.
The patients that I have seen belong to various age groups with diverse health concerns including mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, learning disabilities, autism, PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections), fertility issues, digestive disorders, allergies and autoimmune conditions.
More About My Education
Additional details regarding my post-secondary education: I graduated First Class from York University with a B.Sc. in Life Sciences in 2006 and have an Advanced Diploma in Biotechnology (graduated with distinction) from Durham College. I was selected to be a member of the Applied Science Advisory Committee at Durham College due to my exceptional academic record. My college and university education involved reviewing scientific journals as well as intensive laboratory work with a strong focus in molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and analytical chemistry. I have also taken psychology courses at York University as part of my degree program to strengthen my understanding of the human mind - this has certainly helped me in finding effective homeopathic remedies for my patients.
Homeopathy Since Childhood
My appreciation for homeopathy began at childhood as I come from a family of homeopathy enthusiasts who have effectively used homeopathic remedies to address various health concerns. I learned so much about homeopathy and its benefits from my father who held a Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery, received homeopathic education from London, England, and had a successful homeopathic practice in Toronto, Ontario as a registered homeopath for over 30 years. I continue to use homeopathy for myself and family to address a wide range of health issues. I love that homeopathy can vitalize our body without any toxicity, triggering a healing response within ourselves.
